Pastor Randy Leskovar
Randy Leskovar is the pastor of Calvary Chapel West Seattle and has been teaching the bible for over 20 years. Randy, a lifelong resident of West Seattle, has been married to his wife, Mary, for 27 years and together they have three children. Randy received Jesus Christ as His Savior and Lord in 1985 after a long search for the truth, which took him from his Roman Catholic roots, through the philosophies of the 1960's, into the New Age movement, and to the Bible. This is where he found the truth of God in Jesus Christ and His words, "O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man, out of the good treasure of the heart, bringeth forth good things; and an evil man, out of the evil treasure, bringeth forth evil things." Matthew 12:34-35 (KJV)
When he read this, Randy became convicted of his own wickedness, and understood that he was not a good person, but needed a heart change. Over a period of several months, he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ, Who forgave his sins, gave him a new heart, and placed His Holy Spirit within him. In 1984 at the age of 28, Randy was truly born again. Six months later, he married his girlfriend, Mary, continued to read the Bible, and attended a good Bible teaching church. During those first few years, God did an amazing work as He transformed his heart, replacing selfishness, sin, and anger with love, joy, and peace. This process has continued as God who began a good work, will bring it to completion. The only regret Randy has is that he didn't do it sooner.
Ten years later after serving in various ministries, studying the Word of God, and the further transforming work of God, God led Randy to start Calvary Chapel West Seattle with the focus on love for Jesus Christ, the teaching of the Word of God, the ministry of the Holy Spirit, and the biblical philosophy of Calvary Chapel. With a community that desperately needs to know Jesus, Randy has been blessed and privileged to serve Jesus Christ and the people of West Seattle, communicating the gospel in as many ways and to as many people as possible. Randy knows that time is short and the return of Jesus Christ is imminent, and that with Jesus, the best is still yet to come.

“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul”. Psalm 19:7
I received Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior with a Christian friend at a Burger King restaurant during my sophomore year in college. That evening I returned to my dorm room and began reading the Bible. Although I had read the Bible before as a non-Christian, the Holy Spirit was now directing my heart and mind to understand it for the very first time. I can remember experiencing a sense of awe, joy and conviction as I read through the pages of the New Testament. I was beginning to realize the Bible’s supernatural power to transform my heart and mind. This was the most significant moment of my life.
God then impressed upon my heart my need to attend and become involved in a Christian Church. I looked for a group of Christians that believed in the inspiration and infallibility of the Bible. I was blessed to find Calvary Chapel West Seattle where I have attended for the last 13 years. During these years I have served as Youth Pastor and Elder. I greatly appreciate Pastor Randy’s teaching, servant’s heart, and devotion to the Church Body. I also love the people who attend Calvary Chapel West Seattle and consider them family.
